Paula Grooters

Paula W. Grooters RN, 43, of Woodland, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011. She was born August 10, 1968 in Hastings, the daughter of Wayne and Gail (McClelland) Smith. Paula graduated from Lakewood High School and attended Kellogg Community College. She married Jeffrey D. Grooters on November 7, 1987. Paula was currently employed with Southwest Regional Rehab Center in Battle Creek as a Registered Nurse. She enjoyed painting, decorating and flowers. Paula loved her family and the Lord. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Richard Grooters. Surviving is her husband, Jeffrey D. Grooters; children, Zachery W. Grooters and Alyssa M. Grooters; mother, Gail (Alan) Benedict; father, Wayne (Jan) Smith; sisters, Rena A. (James) Middaugh, Sonia L. VanDriel; brother, Gene A. (Kandra) Smith; mother-in-law, Christine (Francis) Mack; sisters-in-law, Dee Grooters, Michelle Grooters, Danielle Grooters; half-brothers, Matthew (Jamie) Deitz, Brett Grooters; half-sister, Lindsey (Scott) Vincent; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm on Monday, October 17, 2011 and 2-4 & 6-8pm on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Koops Funeral Chapel – Lake Odessa. Funeral services for Paula will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Ada Bible Church, 8899 Cascade Road, SE, Ada 49301. Private interment at Woodland Memorial Park.
