Richard William Pergler

Richard served both in the Army and Navy, where he earned a Purple Heart while in service in Vietnam. He later worked for the USPS for many years until his retirement, approaching each chapter of his life with steady dedication and quiet pride. Richard was a avid Military Memorabilia collector decorating his home with it.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bernice Pergler, and his brothers, Gary Pergler and Melvin Pergler. He leaves behind his children, Angie (John) Lingle and Richard (Kelly) Kelley; several grandchildren; his sibling, George Pergler; and many friends he made along the way.

A memorial gathering will be held Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa on Saturday, March 21, 2026 from 12pm until 2pm. He will be laid to rest at a later date in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
