Richard M Valdez

Richard was born on July 6, 1959 to Adelina Valdez in Ionia, Mi. Richard was a 1978 graduate of Lakewood High School, after graduation he worked at Fisher Body in Lansing and had several other jobs working at Owens Illinois Glass Factory in Charlotte, Kellogg's in Grand Rapids and Cargill in Lake Odessa before retiring.

In 2009 Richard married his wife Denise who survives him and they raised their two beautiful Children Richard and Alita together at their home in Saranac.

Richard was an avid hunter who also loved to fish, mushroom hunt, garden and teach his children his love for nature and spending time with his family.

Richard will be dearly missed by his wife Denise, Children Richard (Annaka Gooding) Cadwallader, Alita (Josh Blum) Cadwallader, Siblings Annette (Dan) Sexton, Vince Valdez, Felipe (Tia) Valdez and Alex Valdez, along with many aunts,uncles,nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding him in death are his mother Adelina, sister Deborah Valdez and brother Rueben Valdez.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place and Celebration of life will be held at the Lowell United Methodist Church on June 22, 2024 at 11am, visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service. Richard will be laid to rest at Lakeside Cemetery privately at a later date.
