Valerie Lynn Stephens, age 57, of Lake Odessa passed away suddenly on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Butterworth Campus of Spectrum Health Systems in Grand Rapids. Val was born to Eugene Wendall and Jessie Marie (Perkins) Patrick in Lansing, MI on April 24, 1957. She was a 1975 graduate of Lakewood High school. Val loved to spend time with family, friends and her dogs. She is survived by: husband David Stephens, children Christopher(Jennifer) Miller and Josh (Mary) Miller, 7 grandchildren, 3 step sons, 1 step daughter, 13 step grandchildren, 4 brothers, 2 sisters and dog Baco. Preceding her in death are her parents, 1 sister and 2 brothers. A memorial will be held at a later date. Contributions to the family to help with expenses would be appreciated.
