February 10, 1925-January 15, 2013 Alf was born in Cleveland, Ohio to parents Gunnar and Agnes Anderson. He served in the United States Navy during World War II as an aircraft mechanic on SNJs. After the war he married his sweetheart Alice McNally. They lived in Westchester County, NY where they raised their family. The family moved to Florida in 1969. Alf and Alice lived in West Palm Beach until moving to Indiantown, FL. Throughout his adult life, Alf was an active member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks, serving as Exalted Ruler in both the White Plains, NY and Lake Worth lodges. He supported the Elks charities, especially those that benefited children. He is survived by Alice, his wife of 62 years, along with their children Brian Anderson (Georgia), Russell Anderson, and Christine Krenz (Jerry). He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Christopher, Chloe, Julia, Angela and Amber, and a great grandson Gavin. Services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL. The viewing will be at 1:00 pm, with the funeral following at 2:00 pm.
