October 23rd of this year will mark 6 years without the only person who made me feel like I belong. There are so many things I want to tell you and so many moments I wish you could’ve been here to experience with me. Though they say you’re always watching, listening and living by side day by day. It will never be the same. I miss the way you yelled at us to close the front door. I miss the way your voice and laugh sounds. I miss the love and energy you embraced each and every person. I miss the I love yous and warm welcomes. I will never heal from losing my light. I will never forgive. You should be here. I struggle with life by myself scared to share and live. Tomorrow is never promised. Today is just like every other. I miss you. My heart is so heavy.

Wella, as I and many others call her was and always will be our light. Every single moment I had with her I will forever cherish. Moments/memories aren’t just things that happen, they are things that even if  you don’t know it at the time you will forever love and cherish them no matter what. Yea it’s taken me over a year to write something, but wella wasn’t just a grandma to me. She was like one of my moms. When I clean I feel connected with her, whenever I talk to her I feel as she is sitting right there next to me. Not a single light will ever shine as bright as her. I remind my self every day of a quote that I’ve been reading for the last year or so: 

  ‘Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day... unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear’. 

I remind myself that even when I’m at my lowest she will always there with me. As she will be for all of you. I miss and love you lots Wella and forever will.

Ana(wella)  was a mother and grandmother to me and my kids. We were always welcomed and included. When my son was small and we lived across the street he would ask everyday to go across the street for wellas rice. She always had rice and coffee. When I would come over in the mornings we would drink coffee and talk about everything.  Words cannot describe how much we will all miss her.
