Audrey D. Lynn

Audrey D. Lynn, 94, of West Palm Beach, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2015. She was born May 13, 1920, in Live Oak, Florida, to Rosa and Walter King and graduated Fort Lauderdale High School in 1938. In 1941, she married Richard "Dick" Lynn, and together they worked and traveled throughout the U.S., settling in West Palm Beach in 1957. Throughout her life, Audrey faithfully served the Lord, her family, and her church. For more than 55 years, she was an active member of Haverhill Baptist Church, serving in many leadership roles. She founded Haverhill Baptist Day School in 1967 along with her dear friend, Louise Coody, and worked to establish the school as a leader in early childhood education. She continued to serve as its director until her retirement in 1988. The school continues to serve the community today.She leaves a legacy of godliness, service, and sacrifice. She is survived by her three children: Frances A. Lynn of West Palm Beach, Richard R. Lynn (Cheryl) of Beaverton, OR. ,and Lori J. Null (Rick) of Palmdale, CA. She also leaves her granddaughters, Sondra M. Parsons, Monica S. Lynn, Juliana R. Null and Moriah G. Null, and great grandsons, Jack Parsons and Bo Parsons, her nieces, Kirby Mc Cloud and Kim Roberts, of Jacksonville, FL. and her nephew, Fred Wingate, of Birmingham, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Maude E. Lewis and Erma R. Menzel, and her husbands, Richard Lynn (1990), and Albert L. Amoroso (2006). Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 between 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 12:00 noon at Haverhill Baptist Church, 671 No. Haverhill Rd., West Palm Beach, FL. conducted by Pastor Michael Moore. She will be laid to rest at Lake Worth Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Haverhill Baptist Day Schoool.
