Audrey M. Weber, 84, passed away on October 20, 2013, while under care of Hospice of Palm Beach County. Audrey is now at peace, and has joyfully reunited in heaven with her soul mate and loving husband of 41 years, Paul Weber. She was born and raised in Rochester, NY and moved to West Palm Beach in 1959. She was the remaining charter member of Faith Presbyterian Church in Palm Springs, FL, and assisted in the formation of this church in 1960 by going door-to-door in her neighborhood of Palm Springs – inviting people to attend this new church. She was a gifted seamstress, and made all of daughter Lynne’s clothes, as well as suits for her husband and son Paul, drapes for the entire house, and furniture coverings. She could turn any piece of fabric into something special. She was also a talented singer and church choir director for much of her life. She loved spending summers at both Conesus Lake in upstate New York, and on various lakes in Canada with her husband, and they were well known for their bonfires, catching fish, and laughter that permeated to other cabins in the area. Audrey was passionate about playing cards with family, doing word games, going on cruises, jigsaw puzzles, all kinds of crafts and creative projects, and watching major league baseball. Her favorite teams were the Braves and the Marlins, and she always rooted for the Marlins despite their losing seasons! She enjoyed bowling, and was the bowling league treasurer for almost 30 years at the old Lake Worth Lanes. Her last trip to Rochester was this past July, where she attended a family reunion. It brought her much happiness to be able to have fellowship with many relatives, and she enjoyed eating the abundance of steamed clams just as much as she used to. She will be remembered for her abiding devotion to her church and her family. Audrey is survived by daughter, Lynne (Michael) McAvoy, son Paul J. Weber; beloved grandchildren Cory (Becky) McAvoy, Bryce (fiancée Courtney Miller) McAvoy, Kim (Steven) Peck and Michael McAvoy, Jr.; sister-in-law Shirley J. Reynolds; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and relatives. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her brother, Charles A. Reynolds, and her dearly loved dog, Muffit. Audrey was excited to know that her first great-grandchild will be arriving in March, 2014. A service celebrating the life of Audrey M. Weber will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 275 Alemeda Drive, Palm Springs, FL (561-967-1930) on Saturday, October 26th, at 2:00pm. There will be a reception following this service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to Faith Presbyterian Church. The family is grateful to the staff at Jupiter Pavilion and Jupiter Pavilion-Hospice for the tender care they provided to Audrey Weber.
