Barry was born on September 24, 1942, in New York, to parents Arthur & Florence Bersch. He was the oldest of three brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Warren. He moved to Florida in 1972. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Daveen Bersch, the mother of his three children. He is also preceded in death by his second wife, Dorothy Bersch. Barry met Carmen in 1999, and married the love of his life in 2003. Barry was known as a wonderful, caring man who would give you the shirt off his own back. He cared for many people during his life and was cared about by even more. His jokes and sense of humor will always be in our memories. During his life he held many jobs, such as an architectural draftsman, a hair dresser, a plumber, a salesman, a private investigator and an auxiliary police officer. He loved to cook and entertain. He had every kitchen gadget known to man. Cruising and gambling were another passion he had. He loved visiting his money on the boats. He was an avid gun and knife collector. He enjoyed leather tooling and loved his cowboy boots and hats. Country music was his favorite and he has always had a dog by his side. As a kid, he was a tap dancer and on a swim team. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family especially his grandkids & great grand babies. His final wish was, in his own words, "for my family to quit the bullshit and make amends". Family was the most important thing to him. We all have so many fond memories of him to help us keep him alive in our hearts.
