On the afternoon of Monday, August 8, 2022, our beloved mother Mrs. Beryl Clarke and sister in Christ received her wings and was called home to heaven to meet our Lord and Savior.
Originally a native of Jamaica, wife, sister, mother of nine, and friend, Mrs. Clarke studied at Le Cordon Bleu, then became a U.S. Citizen. She moved to the states with her husband in the mid-1960s, where she masterfully practiced culinary arts in Adrian, Michigan, and Sylvania, Ohio. Mrs. Clarke then moved to Florida, where she and her husband Linton opened two Little Gourmet Restaurants in downtown West Palm Beach. A devote Christian and distinguished lady, Mrs. Clarke’s elegant manner was evident in her style as a wife, mother, Sunday School teacher, seamstress, chef, and gardener.
Mrs. Clarke was predeceased by her husband, Linton T. Clarke, Sr., and eldest son, Charles. She is survived and forever remembered by her loving children Patrick, Annie, Angela, Linton Jr., Dawn, Noel, Marvin, Grace, 41 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Clarke will forever be remembered by her best friend and loving sister Marie, sisters, brothers, Vinnette, Audrey, Ernal, Douglas, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022, 4:00-8:00 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, located at 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
Mrs. Beryl Clarke’s Christian Celebration of Life funeral service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, located at 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461, with interment following at Hillcrest Memorial Park, located at 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL.
Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Beryl Clarke can be made to her loving sister Marie Johnson and Redemptive Life Fellowship.
