Beryl Pain, 86, passed peacefully on March 18, 2026, at 5:30 a.m. Beryl was a kind-hearted, thoughtful, beloved, and cherished woman—encouraging, friendly, and warmly humorous—whose presence brought comfort and joy to those who knew her. She was a resident of West Palm Beach, Florida.
Beryl was married to Gerald Pain for more than 60 years. She will be deeply missed by her son, Stephen (Karen) Pain; her daughter, Nicola (Bob) Anderson; eight grandchildren, Dustin (Brittany), Kaylee (Markus), Samantha, Lindsey (Peter), Elizabeth, Emily (Caleb); and nine great-grandchildren, Kadence, Peter, Lillie, Owen, Liam, Marco, Elsie, Killian, and Isabella.
For more than 40 years, Beryl faithfully and actively served at Community of Hope Church (formerly Good Shepherd United Methodist). She was also passionate about the work done by Mercy Ship and gave generously to support their life-giving cleft palate surgeries.
The light and life of every gathering, Beryl cared deeply about others and always found the wit and humor to fill a room with laughter and joy. Best known for saying, “Well you know me, I’m just dancing on the ceiling,” she is now dancing with her loved ones who went before her. Dance on Heaven’s ceiling, Nana, dance on.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held at Dorsey - E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, Florida 33461, on April 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow, beginning at 12:00 p.m. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to make a donation to Mercy Ships.
