Carolyn ''Trinkie'' S. McMahon, 90, of Lake Worth, FL, passed peacefully on Friday July 15, 2022, at home. Her passion was music. Growing up in Preston Hollow, NY, she learned to play the piano and clarinet in school and had voice solos with her church choir and at contests.
She graduated with honors from the Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York, and impacted many students through public and private music education as well as teaching piano and voice at home for over 50 years. Her talents carried on at the First Presbyterian Church (Music Director) and Lakeside United Methodist Church (Children's Music Director) in Lake Worth, and Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in West Palm playing for many services and special occasions and using her beautiful soprano voice in the choir. She was also a member of the local chapter of the P.E.O. international women's organization.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Francis J. McMahon and three sons Francis J. McMahon, Jr. (Tina), T imothy H. McMahon (Denise), Terence P. McMahon, and daughter Deidre M. Wade (Michael), grandchildren Francis J. McMahon III (Natalia), Joshua McMahon and Haley Wade, and great-grandchildren Valentina and Renata.
Visitation will be held at Dorsey- E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, Lake Worth on August 5 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and service on August 6 at Lakeside United Methodist Church, Lake Worth at 11:00 am.
Charitable donations in Carolyn ''Trinkie'' Mc Mahon's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, VITAS Hospice, or American Cancer Society.
