CATHERINE GABRIELE Age 87, of West Palm Beach, passed away at her home on December 2, 2010. Formally of Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. Catherine was a resident of West Palm Beach for over 20 years. She served her country in Italy during World War II as a U.S. Army Nurse. While in the Army she met a wounded solder, who became her husband of over 50 years, Leonard E. Gabriele, who predeceased her in 2003. Considered a winner at cards, Catherine enjoyed Gin Rummy and Pinochle. She also contributed as a volunteer for the mentally handicapped. Catherine is survived by her sons, Robert and Edward; daughter, Priscilla; grandchildren, Melissa, Meridith, Robert, Cristina and Jennifer. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, December 6. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 7 at 10:00 AM.
