Charlene was born June 10th, 947 at Barnert hospital located in Passaic, New Jersey.
Her mother and father Margaret and James Tirri welcome their first child of three into the world. Charlene grew up in Paterson, New Jersey and shared a household located at 250 5th Avenue Paterson with her brother and sister.
The oldest of the three children, Charlene was very outgoing and decided early on she wanted to stand out in the crowd. So she quickly asked her mother if she would sign her up for dancing classes. Charlene quickly took a liking to the music, choreography and the whole idea of being a dancer.
Charlene quickly fell in love with music and every week her aunt would come by to take her to purchase the newest 45 record for her collection and listening pleasure. As a child, she was surrounded by music-dance and occasionally her father would take her into New York to see the Rockettes.
Charlene's lifelong dream was to become a Rockette. She admired the dancing and showmanship of the ladies.
Charlene also attended a very famous High School in Paterson New Jersey called East Side. It was a mixed culture of nationalities and races. Charlene stood out in high school as she was involved with many different activities. She would often be involved with pep rallies, school functions and would exhibit true Eastside school spirit.
They later made a movie about Eastside High School called "Lean On Me" with principal Joe Clark.
She would also support a very good cause in the 1960s where she and her girlfriends were part of a movement that was taking place in Newark, New Jersey. Equality amongst the people that lived in that area. Charlene was a very strong supporter and advocate for equal rights amongst individuals.
Later on in life, Charlene would stumble into a local bar establishment and meet the love of her life, Benedict G. Vivona. She was enamored by this handsome musician playing sax on stage and decided to take a chance by leaving her number with the bartender. This encounter turned into six long Blissful years of dating.
In 1973 she was married on her birthday June 10th. They moved to a brand new constructed home in Linkin Park New Jersey. Where they would spend the happiest time of their marriage. Until a surprise bundle of joy emerged in 1976.
Charlene gave birth to her one and only son on April 28th 1976 and she appropriately named him Damien. Not to be confused with the movie of that time period. Her son Damien Vivona would bring happiness and add a new addition to the family lineup.
Charlene would often throw lavish parties at her estate in Lincoln Park, New Jersey. This would become a staple for the next few years before a new chapter in her life was about to take place.
In 1985 Charlene and Benedict decided to relocate the family to West Palm Beach Florida where they were surrounded by her parents, in-laws and other family members; their transition to a Florida lifestyle was a comfortable one indeed.
Here Charlene would make new friends and memories. Family members would gather at their new home at 8 Cambridge Place Boynton Beach Florida and as the years continued they became more memorable for the events that took place here in Boynton Beach.
For several years in the '90s Benedict and Charlene Vivona would become entrepreneurs in their own restaurants and enjoyed success with a couple different establishments including one called Cafe Nino's Italian restaurant. Charlene became a hostess and enjoyed the atmosphere and being a restaurant owner.
In the 2000s Charlene retired and unfortunately in 2012 Benedict G. Vivona passed unexpectedly which Charlene was extremely heartbroken. After the passing of Charlene's husband, her one and only son Damien Vivona dedicated his life to making sure that Charlene was always filled with love and happiness in the home. On January 5th of 2025 after battling 5 months in the hospital. She was called upon and went home to be with the Lord and her husband Benedict G. Vivona. She is now at peace with the people she loved the most and her memory will be with all that she touched when she was here on earth. Survived by her son Damien Vivona.
She was a mother, a wife and a blessing, I miss you so much but now you can rest in peace.
Love always, Damien Vivona
