

Tom Hall, 72, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away at his home on January 14, 2015. Tom was born on March 25, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to James Earl Hall and Nellie Mackens Hall of Clarksville, Tennessee. Tom had been a resident of Florida since 1977, living briefly in Port St. Lucie and spending over 35 years in Lake Worth. Tom graduated at the top of his class in 1960 from Rushville High School in Rushville, Indiana. He went on to proudly serve in the United States Army as a Personnel Management Specialist from 1960 to 1963. While in the Army, Tom received recognition as a rifle sharp shooter and carbine expert. Tom earned an award for Outstanding Meritorious Achievement, from 1961 to 1963, while assigned to the 39th Transportation Battalion, U.S. Army Infantry Troop Command, in Fort Benning, Georgia. Prior to his retirement, Tom was a highly successful regional sales manager for True Value Hardware, Inc.; he was the co-owner of two hardware stores; and the long-time business manager of Prime Auto Sales in West Palm Beach. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara Hall Booth (Thomas) and grandsons, Richard and Brennan, of Fort Pierce, Florida, dear sister, Betty Fletcher (Jim) of Decatur, Illinois, and dear brother, Larry Hall (Donna) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, nieces Terry, Tina, Cheryl, Carla, Sheila, Michelle, Sonya, Tresea, and nephew, Christopher, along with many grandnieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Mark Hall. At Tom’s request, he will be cremated and no service is planned.
