From his earliest years, Damon carried a quiet steadiness—often shy in and out of school, yet consistently attentive to the needs of others. When his family moved to Florida when he was 11, he continued to grow into a man known for simple decency, calm patience, and an unassuming willingness to lend a hand. He graduated from Lake Worth High School and went on to become a Video Technician, taking pride in the work and the reliability he brought to his profession.
Damon was hard-working to the end. He did not retire and was still working prior to his passing, serving in security and as a concierge at The President of Palm Beach Condominium Inc in Palm Beach, Florida—roles that suited his conscientious nature and the quiet respect he showed to everyone he met.
At the center of Damon’s life was his marriage to his forever soulmate, Dolores, with whom he shared 35 years. He was also a devoted stepfather to Christopher, who passed in December 2025. Damon loved Chris as his own and spoke of him with deep pride—an enduring bond that remains part of his family’s story.
To know Damon was to know his passion for music. He was a rock-solid guitar player who cherished his time with the bands he played in, and friends and family will remember not only his playing, but also his music writing. He also enjoyed reading, watching action movies, and spending time with National Geographic, Antique Roadshow, and YouTube—interests that reflected a steady curiosity and a thoughtful, grounded spirit.
Damon’s generosity showed most clearly in the everyday ways he cared for others. He helped neighbors with groceries and minor home repairs, offering support without fanfare and with a humility that made his kindness feel natural and sincere. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who helped anyone he could, with a smile “as big as the sun,” and as a wise, honest presence whose devotion to those he loved never wavered. He deeply valued the life he shared with Dee, Chris, and Diamond & GreyC (cats).
The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to the many family and friends who offered support over the years, with a special shout out to Lorraine & Andy for their years of friendship—true friends who answered the call, even in the wee hours, and came running. Damon also appreciated the doctors who were there with his healthcare.
“I'll try to remember all the things I'll never know.” Damon’s passing is held with the understanding that our physical lives are fleeting, and with the belief that death is not the end. May Damon be at complete peace—his energy free, his cosmic dust rejoining the universe from whence we came—remembered with enduring love and profound respect.
