Danny Ramirez, 78, of Lake Worth, Florida, was born on November 24, 1947, and passed away on September 25, 2026. He will be remembered with deep respect and enduring love by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
From an early age, Danny understood responsibility. In elementary school, he left school to work in the fields to help support his family, and that steady determination never left him. He carried it through every season of life—whether driving tractors on the farm, building childhood fun alongside his brothers by making slingshots and bows and arrows, or spending time swimming with them in the canals. He also took pride in the simple joys: a beautiful yellow Torino, and many days spent fishing—moments that reflected the warmth and spirit that made him so easy to love.
Danny’s work ethic was exceptional, and his loyalty to providing for his family was unwavering. He worked for Solid Waste for several years, and with the help of his wife, Phyllis, he earned his CDL license. Danny then dedicated over 35 years to Waste Management before retiring in 2019. He very rarely missed a day of work—only a handful of times—because he believed in showing up, doing the job well, and making sure his family was always taken care of. Retirement did not slow him down. If you were looking for Danny, you could almost always find him outside, taking care of his yard—work he truly enjoyed—and he even took on side jobs cutting other people’s yards.
Danny was married to Phyllis Ramirez (Spouse) from 1983 to 2011 [deceased]. Together they shared a life anchored in devotion and care. He was the proud father of Victoria Ramirez (Daughter), who carries forward his love, strength, and the deep bond they shared. Danny is also survived by his siblings: Jessie (Brother), Manuel (Brother) [Deceased], Frederico (Brother), Adelia (Sister), Maria Christina (Sister), Lucy (Sister) [Deceased], Rosalinda (Sister), Maria Elina (Sister), and Trinidad (Sister).
Those who knew Danny knew a man who could work hard and still bring laughter with him. He enjoyed watching TV, and wrestling was his favorite. He also loved Walker Texas Ranger and Gilmore Girls. He loved food—especially menudo and fried catfish—and he had a playful way of showing off his strength, bending bottle caps with his thumb and pointer finger. He loved fishing, and he loved being surrounded by people—parties, music, and dancing were among his greatest joys.
Above all, Danny was a man full of life and love. To his family, he was a superhero—someone who refused to be held down by anything, and who met life with grit, humor, and heart. He was devoted, dependable, and deeply loved.
The family extends sincere gratitude to all the relatives who came out to see Danny this year. It meant a great deal, and they know he was happy to see you.
“My dad always believed in God and I know this is not farewell. I will see you again when it's my time. Any guy that approaches me will never be good enough because of how much you spoiled me. I will miss you deeply but I know that you are around me still. You were the strongest, greatest dad and I'm so happy I got to have you as mine and if there's another lifetime i hope then too. I love you dad.” —Victoria
