David C. McDonald of Lake Worth, Fla passed away on June 24, 2013. David was born in Brooklyn, N. Y. on May 2, 1926. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Dolores, his two children David (Cliff) of Sunrise, Fla, his daughter Karen Young of New City, N. Y. and his sister Marie (Eugene) Farrell of Matthews, N. C.
David was the beloved grandfather to Geoffrey and Timothy Young of New City, N. Y.
David was a U.S. Navy veteran having served in WWII and the Korean War. He bravely served for over 20 years as a firefighter in the FDNY. He was a past president of the Palm Beach County FDNY retirees.
David (Uncle Dave )will be greatly missed by numerous family members and friends.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 11:30am at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 6090 Hypoluxo Road, Lake Worth, FL. Graveside services with military honors will follow at South Florida National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
