

He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and was a graduate of local schools.
He served with the Army during the later part of WWII as a rifleman. Donald then raced open-cockpit midgets on Daytona Beach.
He then returned to Michigan and worked over eleven years in the auto industry. In 1954 he became
a licensed pilot and flew for over 56 years. Donald and his family moved to this area in 1967. He then became the
owner of Tri-City Construction Co. for over 25 years. He served as a Board Director at: 1st State Bank of Lantana,
Great Southern Bank, Colonia Bank and the Grand Bank & Trust. In retirement he was an avid tennis player, and traveled extensively.
He was also a mentor with the Listening Program for At Risk Children. Donald's survivors include his wife of
54 years Judy, 2 children; Craig Cunningham of Vermont and Pamela (Ray) Smith of Mississippi, 2 grandchildren
Hollis and Jourdan Smith. He also leaves his brother Robert (B) Cunningham and a nephew and 2 nieces.
His family will receive friends on Wednesday, at the funeral home, between 4:00 & 7:00 PM, where
His life will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:00 noon. Donald will be laid to rest at a later date
at the South Florida Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent toHospice of Palm Beach County 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Fl. or Alzeheimer's Association SE Florida Chapter
