She was born and raised in East Haven, Connecticut, where she met and married her husband Walter in1941.
They moved to Lake Worth, Florida in 1961. Dorothy had been a founding member of both the
American - Irish Club and the American- German Club both in Lake Worth. She was also an
active member of the First Congregational Church of Lake Worth. She enjoyed crafting and was also
an artist. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Walter in 1995, her grandson Chris and a brother Charles.
She leaves to survive her three children: Marilyn Wellman, Barbara ( William) Barker, and Melanie Katz,
grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter and a sister Eleanor Nelson. her family will
receive friends on Wednesday, August 31st between 1:30 - 2:00P.M. at the funeral home
when a funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Jason Fairbanks at 2:00 PM.
