WEST PALM BEACH - Dorothy L. Shores passed away on Jan. 31, 2013, at her
home in Greenacres. She was 84 and was a faithful friend who offered so much
support to those close to her.
Dorothy was born in Cairo, Ga., the daughter of William Coy and Bertha
Marie Shores. She had spent the last twenty plus years in West Palm Beach,
working in accounting. She had a gift for organization, which helped her in
her work and in life. In her retirement years, she filled her days with card
games, bowling and especially bingo, which gave her much pleasure. She led a happy life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, William, Ronald
and Robert Shores; a niece, Elaine Shores; and her longtime companion, Cleo
Blizzard.
A service to celebrate her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at
Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road in Lake
Worth. The family wants to thank Dr. James Heron of Lake Worth for the
kindness and care he showed Dorothy.
