Edward E. Barker

He was born in Rush County, Indiana living in Indianapolis for more than forty years. During

this time he was a member of the Army Reserve for four years. He relocated to this area in 1976. He was employed as a store manager in the grocery business. Edward was then employed in distribution with the Miami Herald for many years before his retirement. He loved animals, car racing, and John Wayne movies, but his true passion in life was his family. Nothing brought out his amazing smile more quickly than talk of or time with the love of his life, his wife of 54 years, Norma Jean, his children, grandchildren or his brothers.

In addition to his wife he leaves 3 children; Gary Edward Barker, Lisa Daris and her husband David, and Karen Elaine Barker, 3 grandchildren; Edward Daris, Megan Daris and Kaitlyn Rivers, and his brother Jeffrey Barker.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents George and Vernice Barker, his grandson Matthew Barker and his brothers; Robert, Ronald, Jimmy and David.

His family will receive friends on Monday, at the funeral home, between 12:00 & 2:00 PM, when his life will be celebrated at 2:00 PM. Edward's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
