Age 75 quietly passed away at home June 15, 2011 surrounded by his loving, devoted wife and family. He was born and raised in West Palm Beach, FL. He was a retired Captain of the West Palm Beach Police Department, a retired Sergeant of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, and was also in the Naval Reserve.
Wayne is survived by his beloved wife, Alice; daughters, Margie (Bill) Peyton, Brenda Perez; sister, Sigrid Gunderson; grandchildren, James Peyton, Anthony Perez, Jonathan Peyton and Ashley Peyton; adored great grandchildren, Samantha and Allyson Peyton; many nieces, nephews, cousins and members of extended family and very close friends. He was preceded in death by: parents, Sigurd Gunderson and Edith (Schlappi) Gunderson; and brother, Gene Gunderson.
Friends may visit from 10:00 – 11:00am on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the funeral home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am. Memorial contributions are requested to: Hospice of Palm Beach County.
