

Born December 16, 1951, in Portland, Oregon, Emily was the daughter of Efraim Brewster and Estefana Flores.
Emily will be remembered as a woman full of life, her deep love for family, and her spirit lit up every room she entered. Her family and faith were the foundation of who she was; she loved God deeply and lived that love through kindness, compassion, and grace. She had a gift for making others feel seen and valued, always offering a smile, a helping hand, or a word of encouragement. Her joy was contagious, her laughter sincere, and her heart generous. To know her was to be touched by genuine warmth and goodness. Emily was a devoted member of her church with many different hats to wear. She served her church for over 20 years as a Catechist Teacher and also as an Eucharistic Minister.
She is survived by her loving Husband, Felipe Leal, and siblings, Laura Daly, Mary and Howard Miskey, and Noe and Linda Brewster. Her children, Melissa, John Jr., Michele, Jennifer, and Jason, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as her siblings Efraim Jr, William, Mariano, and Robert.
A funeral service will be held at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Rd, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461, on Monday, April 6, 2026, with a viewing starting at 8:30 a.m. lasting until 10:30 a.m. with a Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 2892 S Congress Ave, Palm Springs, FL 33461, and Burial to follow.
