Frances Lillian Polito Stewart

Age 94 of Lantana, FL passed away peacefully on December 20, 2016. Frances was born on August 25, 1922 in Omaha, Nebraska, to the late Frank Polito and Severia Palmison Polito. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edmund John Stewart. Frances graduated from Sandusky High School in 1940 and is remembered for her love of family and friends during WWII. After her career as a secretary, Frances devoted her life to her husband and children; the family moved from Sandusky, OH to Lake Worth, FL in 1958. She was active in church and school activities at Sacred Heart Parish. Her interests included family, gardening, sewing, reading, and doing the jumble word and crossword puzzles in her daily newspaper. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her father until he passed away at age 89. Frances is remembered as a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Frances is survived by her daughters Regina Kelley (Paul) of Dunedin, FL and Ellen Kocher of West Palm Beach, and her son Dave Stewart (Pam) of Lantana; four grandchildren, Andrew Fuller (Lisa) of Grapeland, TX; Rachel Kelley of Nashville, TN; Jennifer Cummins of Tampa, FL and David Stewart of Lantana, FL: great-grandson, Andrew Fuller III of Milwaukee, WI; and a multitude of cousins and friends. Private services will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests making a donation to a preferred charity.
