

Born on September 25, 1934, Fred proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years before building a long and successful career of more than 40 years with Miami Transfer Crane and Rigging. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, he earned the respect of both colleagues and friends throughout his life.
Beyond work, Fred had a passion for speed and horsepower. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, hot rods, and motorcycles, always drawn to the thrill of the open road and the excitement of racing.
On January 18, 1958, Fred married the love of his life, Jean Lacz, and together they built a family filled with love and memories.
He is survived by his devoted wife Jean; daughters Theresa and Sandy; grandchildren Ronald, Delbert, Fred, Suzanne, Melanie, and Allen; and great-grandchildren Bentley, Callaway, Braelynn, Avalene, Jaxon, Shawn, Connor, Luke, Lainey, Brody, and Emma. Each of them brought him immense pride and joy throughout his life.
He will be remembered for his loyalty, sense of humor, and the unconditional love he gave his family. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled and the stories he shared.
A visitation will be held on September 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens, located at 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
The funeral service will follow at the same location, starting at 11:00 am.
A committal service is scheduled for 1:00 pm on the same day at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 FL-7, Wellington, FL 33449.
