Passed away peacefully on July 30 at the age of 74 after a brief illness.
Born in 1942, in Iowa, he moved to Florida as an infant and always considered himself a Floridian.
Freddy graduated from Lake Worth High School, Class of 1960, and was a star in multiple sports. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserves. Freddy was a homebuilder and partner in Flanagan & Lyon General Contractors Inc.
He was a Palm Beach County resident until 2012, when he moved to Buckhead Ridge in Okeechobee.
In his spare time, he enjoyed outdoor activities, such as fishing and hunting.
Freddy was pre-deceased by his parents, Frederick William Lyon and Carolyn Tatum Lyon.
He is survived by his son, Daryl Lyon (Valentina) and fiance, Shirley Haslem.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Graveside inurnment service will be held on Saturday, August 13, at 11:00AM, at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
