Gerald G. Bergeron

Age 84, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2016, surrounded by his family. Gerry, as he was known, is survived by his loving wife, Joyce; Gerry would often tell people that “he couldn’t remember when he was single, having been married to Joyce for 63 years. He is also survived by his son Michael and daughter Donna Lee, both of Lake Worth, FL and was predeceased by his son Dennis. He is also survived by his brother Robert and sisters Terry and Elaine. He had two grand children and three great grand children.

He was born in 1932 in Woonsocket, RI and was a navy veteran who served during the Korean War on the USS Markab. Before moving to Florida, while living in Millville, MA, Gerry owned an air conditioning and refrigeration repair business for many years. He moved to West Palm Beach, FL in 1978 wanting to live in a warmer climate. After moving to Florida he became a property manager for a condominium in Palm Beach and also started a family real estate acquisition and property management company, working at both until his retirement in 1998.

Services will be on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 425 North M St, Lake Worth, FL 33460. Following the service he will be buried at the South Florida National Cemetery 6501 South State Rd 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.

The family is requesting donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, FL in lieu of flowers.
