My dear uncle “Tío Bubi,” a very special person. He was a very kind and loving person. Always a gentleman, easygoing and never had anything bad to say about anyone. A lot of people probably don’t know that he was a very good pilot and when I was very small he flew me (alone) to Abuela Palmira’s and Abuelo Toño’s house for a visit. Imagine that. We will miss him very much and he will forever be in our hearts. 💕
May he Rest In Peace forever and ever along with all his loved ones.

Good, kindhearted, honest, honorable, selfless ...do not even begin to describe the many qualities Gilberto, Irizarry, also known as “Buby” to those who were most familiar, possessed. A chivalrous protector to his 4 sisters throughout his life, a loving and devoted Husband and Father, my sweet uncle Buby always, ALWAYS put everyone before himself. A man of actions rather than words, his wisdom calming and infinite. Patient, understanding, forgiving, true....he will always be a prince among men - to me. Humble, irreplaceable, unforgettable...he shall remain the unsung hero and healing force who shaped much of our family’s history- quietly. There are those who’s lives pass through this world unnoticed. No matter what you believe or think you may know, NO ONE who knew this man can deny uncle Buby’s loss will be deeply missed each and everyday day - forever.

To Aydee and Family
Although I never had the opportunity to meet your Dad in person, I think I have met him through you, Aydee. You are a person whom I admire for your goodness, strength and determination.... someone
who loves her family greatly. From what I am learning about Gilbert these are qualities which he possessed. Sending my prayers that the Lord will comfort you in your mourning. It's always difficult to loose a parent no matter how old they are. ! Un abrazo fuerte te mando a ti Aydee!

Buby you were our neighbor for over 50 years! You and your family became such an integral part of our family.... I have so many memories of you sharing stories of your years in the service....so many memories of you and Papi sharing a meal....of you coming to the basket on the fence to get the “el periódico”....I am so happy that you are now in God’s presence with your sweet wife, Mami and Papi.
Pat and Pelu all four of our parents are now neighbors again 😘😘
Love ya, Martica
