Glendon St. Aubyn Smellie, 61, passed away in Fort Mill, South Carolina on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Glen was born on September 4, 1962 in Mandeville, Jamaica, where he spent his formative years. He went on to attend Queens College in New York and later became a financial professional for various cellular phone-related companies throughout his career where he was known for his hard work and dedication.
In his free time, Glen enjoyed watching any and all sports, with his favorites being Nascar and Formula One car racing and ice hockey. He loved driving and caring for his cars, listening to music and spending time with his family.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Rona Smellie.
Glen is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Murphy, daughter, Briana (Richard) Sargent, grandson Austen Sargent, stepmother Norma Smellie, brother Donovan (Nadine) Smellie, nieces Morgan and Taylor Smellie, brother Patrick (Maria) Smellie, niece and nephew Christina and Jonathan Crooks, uncle Ronnie (Nicola) Smellie, cousin Sue-Ann (Rhodrey) Shaw and many other beloved relatives and friends.
His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Celebration of Life Services will be on Saturday, July 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Dorsey – E. Earl Smith Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, Florida 33461. Family and friends are invited to gather starting at 1pm at the funeral home.
