She was born in Leka, Samos, Greece, on August 27th, 1932, the fifth of eight siblings. Growing up on the island of Samos, her family faced great hardship. She endured and overcame poverty and war, working in the fields from a young age to help her father. Kiki was ambitious and full of dreams. With determination in her heart, she embarked on a ship and migrated to Montreal, Canada.
There, she married the love of her life, Andreas Apostolopoulos, and together they had two daughters, Effy and Niki.
With hard work and relentless determination, she succeeded in accomplishing her dreams. Later, she moved to the United States, once again working tirelessly to reach even greater heights and achieve more success.
Kiki loved life and her entire family. She was always there to lend a helping hand to any family member in need. Her whole purpose was to help, love, and support everyone around her. Her two grandchildren, Rafaella and Nicholas, became her entire world. Her bond with her nieces and nephews brought her joy in every interaction.
A true social butterfly, Kiki surrounded herself with people. She would dance around the house while cleaning, music playing loudly in the background. She planned events, entertained often, and was always the life of the party. She loved having fun and feeding everyone. Cooking was her passion, and watching her loved ones enjoy her food brought her the greatest happiness.
She was generous in every way, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. She had an insatiable desire to learn, to grow, and to succeed, all while pouring her heart into the people she loved. And that’s exactly what she did.
