Jimmy Lee Cook Jr., 64, passed away on June 2, 2026. Born October 2, 1961, in Göggingen, Bavaria, Germany, Jimmy lived a life marked by steady motion, good humor, and an easy warmth that made others feel welcome. He will be remembered for his smile and for the way he never knew a stranger—meeting the world with openness, conversation, and a familiar friendliness that stayed with people long after they parted ways.
From early on, Jimmy’s energy showed itself in the things he loved—sports, Honda Motocross, and monster truck racing—interests that reflected a spirited pace and a love of action. That same drive carried through the years, shaping a life that was rarely still and always engaged with what came next.
Jimmy was the owner of a Tropical Fish Farm, a role that spoke to his independence and work ethic. He was also a Captain and a Commercial Fisherman, and his days were often filled with the kind of purposeful activity he enjoyed most—being outdoors, staying busy, and doing things with his hands and his heart in them.
In his personal life, Jimmy found happiness in fishing, hunting, grilling, and making smoked fish, along with an enduring interest in guns. Whether sharing a meal, swapping stories, or simply showing up with his familiar grin, he brought a lightness to everyday moments—often with a quick wit and a sense of humor that made time with him feel easy and genuine.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Rebecca; stepdaughter, Crystal; stepson, Jimmy “Wormy”; daughter, Kayla; brother, Aaron Cook; grandchildren, Nathan, Charlie, and Aylx; favorite sister-in-law, Peggy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tania.
