Age 80, of West Palm Beach, FL passed away March 26, 2013. Joquin Baralt was born in 1932 in Havana, Cuba to Joquin and Fancisca Baralt. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Havana in July 1960. After coming to the U.S. in 1965 and having to re establish himself in a series of examinations and completing his residency in Adult Pyschiatry at the University of Louisville. He practiced for many years at South County Mental Health where he received numerous awards for his compassion and dedication to serve the mentally ill. Joaquin was preceded in death by his brother, Jacinto Baralt, MD. Joaquin is survived by his wife of 53 years Alicia Baralt, his only child Maria Tripp, son-in-law, Paul Tripp and only grandchild Alicia Tripp. Joaquin was an avid reader, enjoyed classical music, collected antique model cars, antique clipper ships and gun replicas. He was a great lover of all animals especially his beloved German shepherd, Ronny. Most of all he will be remembered for his unconditional love he gave to us. Friends may visit from 5:00 - 8:00pm on Monday, April 1st at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 2nd at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 345 So. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL. Interment will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
