To my darling nephew.  

God I miss our chats so much.  I have no one left to debate with or argue about Trump or hear about your ridiculous conspiracy theories that made me laugh, or just talk about our lives and what was happening.  I miss you so much and there’s a massive void now that no one else will fill.  I used to love the way you always called me Zia or Aunt Perry and refused to call me anything else, even though there was only 10 years between us.  It’s been my honour and privilege to know you and know I had a place in your heart which you did not give to many others.  

I take some comfort in the fact that now at least you have found some peace from your inner demons and that you are much happier in heaven than you were here on earth.

I look forward to the day we will meet again on the other side, even though you believed you were staying in the ground.  I will personally drag you out of your sleep myself if I have to!!

Joel was a dear friend.  He was an amazing gym partner, friend and just an overall good man.  We are so sad that he is no longer with us.  I will always remember our fun arguments about politics and the laughs over drinks.  He made a wicked spaghetti sauce and I will hold on to his secret recipe for life.  Rest easy buddy I will miss you.
