John grew up in Lake Worth. He attended Lake Worth High School graduating in the class of 1977. He was on the football, wrestling and swim teams. He had a number of jobs along the way, but particularly loved his time in real estate working for Donny Brown at Southdale Properties and bookkeeper for Boynton Beach American Legion Post 164.
John was a friend of all and a true bright light in this world. He gave his best, often to his own detriment, so that others might be lifted in joy and success. You would hardly find John without a smile on his face.
If you knew John, you know he loved his Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins, even though he found that extremely frustrating as of late. He had a true passion for his participation with the Miami Dolphins Cancer Challenge bike ride, and feeding the needy on Wednesdays or Fridays, most notably at first Baptist Church in Lake Worth, in addition to a period of time when he was the PA announcer at Lake Worth High School football games, a position his father had for 25 years including the period John played for the Trojans.
