John Joseph "JJ" Morrissey was born in Bronx, NY. He grew up in Elmont where his career began as a firefighter. He finally moved to West Palm Beach, FL where he attended the police academy and became a police officer for West Palm Beach Police Department. After a few years there, he decided to finish his career at the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office. Where he eventually retired in 2010. He lived downtown Lake Worth where he was extremely involved with fundraisers, parades, and fishing tournaments. He loved anything to do with the ocean or fishing. The keys was his home away from home. He had no problem being out on the water or talking about being out on the water. He also said he never ran a ground!
He survives his wife Gigi, daughter Megan, son Patrick, granddog Phin, and all the friends and family who loved him.
