STRENGES, Jr., John Joseph, “Jack”, 58, of Lake Worth, passed away on February 21, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. Jack is survived by his loving wife Rhonda (Poznick) Strenges, sons Martin Strenges and James Stecki, mother Barbara Strenges, brother Michael Strenges and his wife Kelly, nieces, nephews and extended family. He is predeceased by his father, John Joseph Strenges, Sr.
Jack began his law enforcement career as a Military Police Officer in U.S. Army from Jan. 1975 – Jan. 1981. Upon honorable discharge from the military he was hired by the Boynton Beach Police Dept. where he served from 1978 – 1981. Jack was then hired by the PB County Sheriff’s Office where he served honorably from Sept. 1981 – Aug. 2011 finally retiring as the Captain of the Violent Crimes Division.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014 from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Church International, 7255 S. Military Trail, Lake Worth, FL, followed by a Celebration of Life gathering at the PBA Hall, 2100 N. Florida Mango Rd., WPB, FL.
