The youngest of six siblings, married to Aime Laudato Gabon, and the proud father of three children, Joanna, Patrick, and Justin. He was best known as a truck driver of twenty-plus years and has driven to the 48 continental states and parts of Canada and Mexico.
Before married life, Tito had devoted his time to his scholarship and faith. 1983 Graduate of the University of Santo Tomas High School, Tito pursued computer science in his college years at AMA Computer University (Philippines) and Devry University (Illinois). 1990-1994 Tito was the President of the Maires Village Youth club. 1992-1998, Tito was also a Youth advisor of the Mary Immaculate Prayer Group. In 1995, Tito lead his Maries Village Youth Group to the World Youth Day in Manila, where he later went on to meet his future wife, Aime.
Tito, worked hard to provide for his family spending nearly three weeks a month out on the road. Despite his busy schedule, he would always make time for his wife and kids and call them nearly every day. In the year 2011, Tito organized a Black Rosary group between his friends and family, with rotations between households each week. That same year he suffered a heart attack, fought hard, and survived. The following years were hard for him physically but he continued to work as a truck driver to support his family.
In 2013, Tito and his family made the big move from Lombard, Illinois to Delray Beach, Florida. Within the year, Tito and his family were able to become a part of the Emmanuel Church Family and Couples For Christ Ministry. With these communities, Tito and his family found joy in service to God and the community. Spending weekends off volunteering with youth camps and church services. From 2014 on, Tito and Aime became active member of the Couples For Christ Ministry of West Palm, even becoming a HouseHold Leader in 2018. In 2019, Tito and Aime became Co-Coordinators for the Youth For Christ Ministry of West Palm Beach.
October 2015, Tito was able to accomplish a life goal and buy a family home in Lake Worth, Florida. This home is where he spent the remainder of his life with his family. In late 2018, Tito was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease and began his dialysis journey starting with peritoneal home dialysis. After being on peritoneal dialysis for a year, Tito upgraded to hemodialysis in late 2019. From then on, Tito kept a consistent routine of dialysis three days a week, while fighting hard to qualify for the kidney transplant list. In January 2022, Tito received news from his primary care provider/nephrologist that he only needed his cardiologist's approval to be placed on the transplant list. Preparations were made to address his heart issues but in the end, his heart could not continue.
Tito Gabon did not die alone in the hospital but was surrounded by family, love, and laughter. His last moments were spent with his wife and daughter laughing, smiling, and looking back at happy memories.
