I never had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Schans, but I've known her daughter, Doris for many years. In knowing Doris through the years, she's always expressed such love and beautiful thoughts of her mother.
My prayers are with the family, knowing how difficult it is to lose a cherished family member. May they find comfort with one another as they share memories, tears and laughter in their celebration of Mrs. Schans journey home into ever lasting Glory.

Mama Schans was such a beautiful loving Christian woman. She was so giving and selfless. She was dear to us because she cared for our daughter Julie as though she was her own. She helped Tom when he needed extra help with childcare. She will be forever loved for what she gave to our family. And I remember eating thanksgiving dinner in the carport with so many kids and people from church. Many of us were new to the area and without family. The Schans' became our family!
