Kathleen Pflanz Ljongquist, 82, West Palm Beach, Florida passed away on March 23, 2026. Kathleen was compassionate, generous, hard-working and inspirational woman whose presence brought comfort and joy to those who knew her.
Born on May 20, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents Esther and Lloyd Pflanz.
Kathleen was married to Eric Peter Ljongquist for 50 years prior his passing in 2012. She is survived by her son, Kirk, and her daughter, Amy; sister, Christina Schmidt; grandsons, Sean (wife, Carley) and Clay (girlfriend, Hanna); and her great-granddaughter, Eliana. She will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, “Ben" Pflanz.
Her career as a beautician made her many lifelong friends.
She found joy in crocheting, reading and puzzles, and was notably organized. Those who shared time with her will remember the warmth and gentle humor she carried into the ordinary moments that matter most.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 1:30 pm at 14538 94th Street North, West Palm Beach, FL 33412.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to a Breast Cancer Association of your choice.
