Kenneth Thomas Hansman, 75, was born on December 18, 1950, and passed away on October 3, 2026. Born in Port St. Lucie, Kenneth was raised in Jersey City, New Jersey by his loving parents, Walter and Mildred Hansman. He attended St. Aedens Catholic Elementary School and later graduated from Lincoln High School. A devoted son and a loyal brother, Kenneth lived a life marked by steady dedication to those he loved and a quiet, enduring generosity that reached far beyond what was ever asked of him. He resided in Port St Lucie, Florida.
Kenneth built a long and respected career with the United States Post Office, where he worked for 30 years and received numerous employee awards in recognition of his hard work and commitment. He retired from USPS in 2012. In 2014, he moved to Florida with his older brother Robert, to be closer to his younger brother Gary—an expression of the deep family devotion that guided so many of his choices and reflected the compassionate, selfless way he showed up for others.
Kenneth was a caretaker to his mother, Mildred, and his brother Robert, providing love and support for all their needs. His kind-hearted nature was also evident in the way he generously provided financial gifts to nieces and cousins throughout his life, never seeking recognition—only the comfort of knowing he had helped. He treasured time with family, especially outings to the New Jersey Shore and its boardwalks, including Seaside Heights, Wildwood, and Point Pleasant, where the simple joy of being together mattered most.
A lifelong sports and entertainment fan, Kenneth was an avid supporter of the New York Yankees, and later also became a fan of the New Jersey Devils. He was also a devoted fan of WWF/WWE Wrestling. From the late 50’s throughout the 70’s, he could be found at Madison Square Garden every month, cheering on his favorite wrestlers—always accompanied by his two brothers, Robert and Gary—creating memories rooted in loyalty, togetherness, and shared tradition.
Kenneth will be remembered for the love he showed to family. Beloved by those who knew him, he consistently tried to make others happy and feel appreciated, leaving behind a legacy defined by compassion, steadfastness, and the quiet strength of someone who gave of himself without hesitation. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, and uncle.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert Hansman and Gary Hansman; sister and brother-in-law, Laura & Dwayne Knauf; niece, Katherine and her husband Daniel Melendez and niece Jennifer Knauf; “Grandma” Frances Knauf; and many more cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hansman; his mother, Mildred Hansman; and his nephew, Daniel Vincent Hansman.
