

Lorraine Rose Marie “Peewee” Pease, nee Dowling , age 96,
passed away on August 04, 2026, and was a resident of Palm Springs, Florida.
Surrounded by family, Lorraine passed away peacefully at Vitas Hospice at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL. of natural causes.
She was born at St. Mary’s Maternity Hospital in Syracuse, Onondaga County, New York on February 2, 1930. She was the third child of Ambrose Matthew Dowling and Josephina Mary “Josephine” Ferry (Farinaccio). A very sickly baby who was not expected to survive, she surprised everyone and lived to be 96 years old.
Lorraine moved with her parents to West Palm Beach in 1946. She attended St. Ann’s Catholic School graduating Valedictorian in 1947. Lorraine and Robert were married in 1952 and in 1953 the family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska. They returned to Florida in 1962. Lorraine was a long time resident of Palm Springs, living in her home for over 60 years.
Lorraine, along with taking care of her large family and working found time to attend PBJC earning an A.A. in business. She was always improving her Accounting skills, working at Florida Public Utilities, Lion Country Safari, Serraes Contruction, Florida Aluminum Foundry, Velvet Tomato, William Thies & Sons, finally retiring in 2000. Her passion was “The Singles Dance Club of the Palm Beaches”, serving two terms as President and 13 years as Treasurer. Her hobbies were caring for her cats, watching T/V, crocheting, doing picture puzzles, talking on the phone, going dancing on the week-ends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Maj. Robert Allen Pease, Sr., Retired USAF; Sons Robert, Jr., and Joseph; daughter Linda Jenkins Cramer (Clifford-deceased); grandson SGT Bill James “Moe”Jenkins Jr., USMC; sister’s Norma Taylor and Bernice Simon; father Ambrose M. Dowling; mother Josephine Maxsween and husband Albert “Grandpa” Maxsween; and her companion Archibald Gall, Sr.
Lorraine is survived by daughters Shirley (Larry), St. Augustine, FL., Jennifer, Palm Springs, Fl., Deborah, Port St. Lucie, Fl. and surrogate daughter Darcy (Allen), Orlando, Fl; sons Douglas (Susan), West Palm Beach, Fl. and Michael (Lynda-deceased), Port St. Lucie Fl.; former daughter-in-laws Sandra & Kathi, 17 grandchildren, 44 great-grand children and 6 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many very dear friends.
The family would like to express gratitude to Cathy, Darcy & Allen, Estrella, Tracy, the staff at Brookdale West Boynton Beach and the Vitas Hospice team at Good Samaritan Hospital for their loving care and compassionate support.
Visitation will be held at Dorsey E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461, on August 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
A Funeral Service will follow at St. Luke Catholic Church, 2892 S Congress Ave, Palm Springs, FL 33461, on August 10, 2026 at 12:00PM.
A Committal Service will follow Mass at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461, on August 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
