Regarding Mariana: Should anyone want to know about an unheralded environmental hero - someone who didn't seek the spotlight and wasn't written about or seen on TV, but did the hard, behind-the-scenes work of finding facts and preparing winning formulas for the more public figures; someone who deserves as much credit as those who got it - ask me. Sigh, this is a great lost to our community -- Mariana was very important to our Florida Conservation efforts. We greatly appreciated all of her help, to keep Florida, above water, literally!!!!

We owe much to many but none more than the Jones Family. A family that has stood four square for the Lake, the Everglades and protecting our land. Johnny and Mariana together again, thanks for the ride. My sincere best wishes to the family

Although we didn't know sweet Mariana long, she made such a strong impression. What an accomplished, strong woman, who along with her husband, have left Florida a better place.
We grieve her passing & offer condolences to her family and Bob. the Richardsons

My heartfelt wishes go out to the Jones family. As an avid outdoorsman, Everglades activist and close follower of the Everglades/political saga for over 40 years, I am quite aware of the work of Mariana and her husband, Johnny Jones, aka the Bulldog. Thank you both for providing such inspiration to me and giving me and so many others a reason to carry on your battles to save Florida's wild places.

Today, the souls of both Mariana and Johnny are one, and soar high over the treetops of the Big Cypress and the Kissimmee, forever watching over the lands and waters they love.

Bless you both.

My Great Grandma was a beautiful soul, She would always be the one who told you what you needed to hear not what you wanted to hear. She was the one you could tell anything to and would never judge you, She taught me to be strong, to think before I speak and to have respect for everyone no matter their age. She was strong, beautiful, wise and the one everyone wanted to be. Mariana Jones was my hero and so much more❤ I love you Grandma

My grandmother was a beautiful example of love and patience. She was full of strength yet meek and never seeking to be the center of attention. She was always serving others and putting their needs first. Her work with my grandfather was vital to their success and I am so proud of the woman she was. She gave us all a wonderful example to follow. My grandfather and her were both true fighters for our environment and I am so proud of all of their accomplishments. They have inspired me to keep fighting and doing what I can do to protect and restore the Indian River Lagoon, St. Lucie River and Florida's Everglades. Today I can smile because I know they are reunited in heaven and standing side by side looking over is all. May we make the right choices for Florida and make them proud. Grandma, I love you!!
