Marianne O'Grady

Marianne nee Mary "Molly" McCormack, age 97, of Greenacres, FL passed away on February 20, 2011. Mary was a native of Sonna, Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. She was born on August 6, 1913 to Edward and Catherine McCormack. She left Ireland in 1929. She resided in Bayside New York and worked in the cafeteria at St. Agnes Academic School and at PS163 before moving to Florida in 1987. Mary was a recording secretary for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and a 24 year member of St. Luke Catholic Church.

Mary is survived by her loving family: daughters, Mary C. Myers of Las Vegas, NV and Teresa B. Abruzzo (Frank) of Wellington, FL and NY; grandchildren, Jason Myers and Jolene Wrightson (Christopher) and great-granddaughter Macayla Myers all of Las Vegas, Nevada as well as her sisters, Annie McCormack of Ireland and Teresa Conway of England and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Patrick J. O'Grady of County Kerry Ireland; sisters, and brothers, Bridie, Peggy, Kathleen, John and Edward McCormack and Sheila Donegan. Friends may visit from 2 PM until 4 PM and 6 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, February 24th at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, on Friday, February 25th at St. Luke Catholic Church, Palm Springs, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League or the American Heart Association. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dorsey-E.
