Martin G.
68, of Lantana, FL, passed away on June 21, 2013. He was a native of South Florida having been born in Miami, FL. Martin attended Miami Military Academy and graduated from Lake Worth High School in 1962 where he was very active in the band. He was co-owner of Baker's Aquarium of Lake Worth until it's closing in 1980 and wrote a fishing column for the Lake Worth Herald. Martin's passion was designing and building fish ponds. He also enjoyed writing, photography, fishing, talk radio, sports, and he was a member of the Gem & Mineral Society.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Patricia Witzmann and her daughters, Cynthia (William) Fussell and Gwendolyn (David) Jasmin; daughter, Claudia (Mario) Witzmann-Camacho; grandchildren, Briana, Brittany, David, Noah, Billy, and Sammantha.
The family will receive their friends from 2 PM until 3 PM on Wednesday, June 26th at the funeral home with his memorial service to follow at 3 PM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
