Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A resident of West Palm Beach since 1970, she was
born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Henry and Helene Woll on August 10, 1931. She
attended Wheaton College, where she met Robert D. Anderson (Bob). They married in
September 1952 after her junior year, then she continued her studies at Columbia Bible
College in preparation for missions work in Peru, South America. She and Bob started
a Young Life Club in Augusta, Georgia, in 1953 before leaving for the jungles of Peru
where they served with South America Mission from 1954 - 1970.
After moving to West Palm Beach in 1970, Mimi took a job teaching Spanish at The
King’s Academy from 1972 to 2001. It was at King’s Academy where Mimi really
shined. She was an enthusiastic and dearly loved teacher whose impact in the lives of
her students is evident even yet today.
Mimi had a zest for life and stayed active. An avid tennis player, she was sure to get
her court time throughout the week. She loved her family and treasured up the times
they could get together for family reunions throughout the years. She also sang in the
choir at Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church in Lake Worth.
She is survived by her seven children: Barbara Lorenz (David), Robert D. Anderson, Jr.
(Tana), Richard Anderson (Lisa), Ronald Anderson (Suzanne), Beverly Woods (James),
Randall Anderson (Susan), Brenda Waugh (Mark); 27 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren;
brother Jimmy Woll. She was predeceased by her two-year-old daughter
Bonnie Sue Anderson in 1965, her sisters Ruth McFall, Betty Meade, Janie Clausen;
and her husband Bob (2015).
A Memorial Service will be held at Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church, Lake Worth,
Florida, on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 am. A reception at the church will follow
the service.
