It was a shocking day when we found out Ryan had gone on to be with the Lord. Ryan was a very happy person. He would visit us at Macy’s and it was always a joy to see him. He was a beacon of light, his smile light up the store, he always had a story to tell. We will truly miss him. Every Saturday we look forward to seeing him. We were honored to know him.

Ryan was a beautiful person, inside and out. Every Saturday, we would see Ryan and his parents come into Macy’s to say hi. His smile will forever be in my memory. Ryan is gone but definitely not forgotten. He will remain in our hearts forever and always. Rest In Peace.

Hi Handsome!
You had me at "Hello!" from the first moment I saw that contagious smile, I knew you were someone special! and then when you found out I was a fire fighter your whole face lit up!!! I was certain we would be connected for a long time! I could not wait for you to meet my friend Clark!!I love how you and Clark shared a very special bond and spoke daily. You would always ask about me...if I wasn't working at the Fire department, you would Tell Clark I was goofing off and then you would giggle!!

It has been a privilege and an honor to be a small part of your life!
You are a sweet soul and you will remain in my heart forever!!

Rest in peace Ryan! Trauma Hawk has landed and they are taking you to heaven!!

Part II
Daily phone calls, regardless of how long or short we spoke he ALWAYS made it a point to ask about Vickie, my kids, fellow Firefighters that he had met and what they were doing. If I was working at the hospital that day he always asked.. "you see my girlfriend"? if I had seen her he would ask.. "did she ask about me? she have her hands were on her hips?" lol lol and of course she did every time.
He had this infectious glow about him. Anyone he came in contact with was instantly drawn to him, he had a heart of gold and always a perfect ATTITUDE. He enjoyed going to the hospital and clinic visits, he was the BMOC as soon as he walked through the doors.
For everyone that had pleasure of knowing Ryan our lives were enriched because of him. There will always be a VERY SPECIAL place in my heart and soul for you.. I Love and Miss you Buddy!!!

WHEW!!! Where do I begin.. So I met Ryan years ago when I was working at the wound center at St Marys hospital My job was to change the sheets and make the patients smile. Well the first time I met Ryan, the roles were reversed. From the second we met, he had me smiling and laughing like never before.... we had a very tight connection from day one. There was not a sport fact, trade, score, play or event that he did not have full disclosure on. He was a sponge when it came to Sports.
He also had a love for EVERYTHING fire or police related. He knew every time the TRAUMA HAWK took off or landed and knew all the pilots and crew by name.
For Christmas one year he got a police/Fire scanner... he listened to that 24/7 365..hah.. he called me several times when I was on shift and telling me he heard me on radio talking to the hospital and was worried about my patient and making sure they were OK!!.
Since we are talking about Christmas.. Every year Ryan would have his computer set up in his room and he would track Santa Claus when he left the North Pole. Well, one year Ryan called me and he was whispering," I am gonna set a trap for Santa and catch hiM. You can imagine the look on my face, OH Boy.... I called Donna immediately to warn her lol lol lol .... So I called Ryan back asking him what he was gonna do with Santa when he caught him.... long pause.... he wasn't sure. LOL!!! So I told him, "if you catch Santa for yourself, what about the other kids in the world waiting for him?" Ryan thought for a min then realized that there would be a lot of kids that would not get a visit from Santa so he decided NOT to trap Santa. I called Donna CRISIS DIVERTED !!!! This time.
Over the years I spoke to Ryan daily if not several times a day. If I did not talk to him there was something missing in my day and I wanted to hear his voice. Sometimes the calls were short.. some time longer depending on what was going on... TO BE CONTINUED!!
