

Mona M. Farmer passed away peacefully on December 26, 2014 in Hospice Care at Bethesda Hospital. Mona was 79 years old. She was born in Guilford, Maine on May 10, 1935 to Fred and Alice Morin. She was the youngest of 10 children. Mona was predeceased by her parents, her son Fred, her brothers Roy (Muriel), Omer (Madalyn), Guy, Pat (Marge) and sisters Bernice, Ester (Jim) and Viola (Bill). She is survived by her husband Bill, son Bill Jr. and his wife Vickie; grandchildren, Monica and Nicholas; brother Ralph and sister Theresa of Lewiston and several nephews and nieces from Texas, Florida and Maine. Mona was raised in Lewiston, Maine. She graduated from Lewiston High School and was active in Phi Upsilon Nu Sorority. After school she taught first grade at St. Peters Grade School. When her parents moved to Florida, Mona and sister Viola went with them. After a short time her parents moved back to Maine but Mona and her sister stayed in Florida. Mona worked at Burdines and First Federal of Lake Worth. She met her husband Bill at the beach and it was love at first sight. They were married five months later and went on to 55 years of love and happiness. Mona loved to play golf with the girls and with Bill on Sundays. She was active in the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There will be a memorial mass held at 10:30am on Monday, January 5th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 West Lantana Rd., Lantana, FL .
