She is survived by her mother, Joanne Powell, and her three sons, Kevin (Rachel) Patrick, Christopher Patrick, and Kyle (Stacy) Brown. Nancy was Mema to her grandchildren Grace Patrick, Belle Patrick, Kailey Brown, Zoey Brown, Andie Brown, Luke Brown, and Michael Brown. She was a caring aunt to nephew Patrick Kelley, and nieces Meghan Theodore, Joanna Campbell, and Kaitlyn Floore. She is preceded in death by her father, Bobby Cook, and her sister, Kathy LaChance.
Nancy was a fiercely devoted mother and a caring friend to many. She grew up in Palm Beach County and later moved to Sylva, North Carolina, where she was the assistant to the comptroller at Western Carolina University for many years. She enjoyed music and dancing, gardening, spending time with her family and her cats. She will be laid to rest in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
