Nell Brown

Nell Brown, age 89, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Born in Nashville TN on June 20th, 1935, to Hart and Ada Sullivan. She was a graduate of St. Cecilia, St. Thomas Nursing School and UT Memphis. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Brown, sister Stella Shiber, brothers Bob Sullivan, Bill Sullivan, and Jerry Sullivan. She is survived by sisters, Mildred Sullivan, Linda Langdon, and brother Pat Sullivan. Aunt Nell was a beloved aunt, great-aunt, and great-great aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of St. Cecelia Academy in Nashville, and St. Thomas Hospital School of Nursing also in Nashville. After graduating from U.T. Memphis, Aunt Nell was a nurse in Memphis. I believe she worked at a Veterans Affairs hospital. Aunt Nell also taught nursing at a junior college in Florida. After retiring from nursing, she helped with her husband's business. Brown's Shoes and Boots, was a mobile business in a truck that specialized in work boots. Aunt Nell lived in Lake Worth, Florida for about 20 years. She moved back to Nashville after Uncle Stan passed away in 1992.

A Funeral Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at St. Henry’s Catholic church on May 28th, 2025.

A graveside service will occur Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Rd, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461.
